Petrol and diesel prices have been recorded again after a day’s stability. Petrol in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai on Thursday became costlier by six paise, while diesel became costlier by seven paise. Oil marketing companies have again raised the price of petrol diesel after a day’s stability. Prices of both fuels have been increased in other parts of the country as well. Petrol price is at the highest level since November.
According to the website of IndianOil, petrol prices in Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai and Chennai rose to Rs 74.19, Rs 76.88, Rs 79.85 and Rs 77.12 per liter respectively. In the four metros, the price of diesel has also increased to Rs 67.14, Rs 69.56, Rs 7.44 and Rs 79.98 per liter respectively. Oil companies did not make any changes in the price of petrol and diesel on Wednesday, but before that, inflation continued in petrol and diesel for eight consecutive days.
