Ayushmann Khurrana on 1 year of Andhadhun: It has shaped me as an actor & I’m thankful to Sriram Raghavan

A film that has been the talk of the town this year is Ayushmann Khurrana, Tabu and Radhika Apte starrer Andhadhun. The mystery-thriller film that had Ayushmann play the role of a blind pianist, managed to win the hearts of audiences last year and this year, bagged the National Award for Best Film. Ayushmann’s performance in the film won him the Best Actor National Award as well. Directed by Sriram Raghavan, AndhaDhun left everyone speechless and won many other awards this year.

Today, AndhaDhun completed 1 year and on the anniversary of the National Award-winning film, Ayushmann shared how the film impacted him as an actor. Ayushmann mentioned that Andhadhun didn’t just help him grow, but also shaped the actor in him. Article 15 star said, “As an artist, I’m a constant learner of the craft of acting. I’m always looking out for films that make me better, that challenge my thinking, my beliefs and opens me up to absorb new things. Andhadhun has truly been one such film that has shaped me as an actor today.”

Later, the actor also thanked his director, Sriram Raghavan and mentioned that he had trust in his vision. The Badhaai Ho star is known for picking unconventional roles and scripts and that is what has made Ayushmann’s filmography stand out from the rest. As Andhadhun completed a year, Ayushmann was full of gratitude and mentioned, “It taught me to challenge my inhibitions and showcase a completely different side to my craft that surprised me and also pleasantly surprised the audiences. I’m thankful to my director Sriram Raghavan for trusting me with his vision and thankful to the universe for giving me projects like this which I can be so proud of.”

The actor also took to Instagram to share a video snippet of Andhadhun as it clocked it a year. Ayushmann mentioned that the film has various memories attached and that it will always hold a special place in his heart. The Dream Girl star is now onto various other projects and his recent release, Dream Girl managed to catapult him into the forway of commercial cinema. Next up for Ayushmann is Bala which deals with pre-mature balding in men. Next year, Ayushmann will be seen in Gulabo Sitabo with Amitabh Bachchan.
