According to sources, Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday asked to meet the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) chiefs of all states. National Security Adviser Ajit Doval will also present at the meeting, sources added.

The Home Ministry meeting, chaired by Shah, will likely see presentations being provided to the state ATS chiefs, briefing them on all current issues related to terrorism and subsequent counter-terror operations.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) will be organising the conference between October 14-15, sources added.

Earlier, news agency ANI reported that with the help of Pakistan Army and ISI, the three top terrorist organisations– Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Hizbul Mujahideen (HM) and Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) have distributed responsibilities to carry out terror attacks in Jammu and Kashmir, parts of India and for political and police killings.

“There is a credible input that terrorists have recently held a joint meeting at an unspecified location in Pulwama in which different operational responsibilities were assigned to different terrorist groups as a future strategy,” a security document stated.

Security forces have already been asked to follow standard operating procedures and co-ordinate constantly with intelligence agencies, local police and Indian Army.
