Jio accuses Airtel, Vodafone, BSNL fraud after stopping free calling

Reliance Jio has recently scrapped its free calling facility. Jio announced to discontinue its free calling service on another network and charge 6 paise per minute. After finishing free calling service, Jio’s difficulty is increasing. On social media, from customers to rival companies, Jio is targeting. Three years ago, Reliance Jio, a company that ventured into the Indian telecom sector, accused Airtel, Vodafone Idea and BSNL of fraud.

Jio has filed a complaint with TRAI accusing its rival companies Airtel, Vodafone-Idea and BSNL of cheating. According to media reports, Jio has filed a complaint with TRAI regarding these companies. In their complaint, Jio has said that these companies wrongly collected interconnect charge from them. According to Jio, Airtel, Vodafone-Idea and BSNL generated their revenue by charging their landline number as a mobile number and charging an Interconnect Charge (IUC) from it.

At the same time, on this charge of Jio, Airtel has said that he is baseless. Jio is trying to mislead TRAI. Jio has handed over the letter to TRAI for violation of the Interconnect Charge Rules levied by these companies. According to Jio, the company has incurred a loss of crores of rupees due to the wrongly charged IUC charge by these companies.

Let me tell you that due to this IUC charge, Jio ended free calling on other networks. After which Jio has asked its users to charge an interconnect usage charge at the rate of 6 paise per minute. However, while giving relief to its users, Jio also announced that if a user has recharged a plan before October 10, then he will not have to pay a separate calling charge.
