Guwahati: Singapore Popular filmmaker Erik Kho of Singapore has been awarded the Bhupen Hazarika International Solidarity Award. The award was presented by Indian High Commissioner to Singapore Javed Ashraf. Eric Kho was presented with a certificate, a memento, a bundle book of five lakh rupees and a shawl as awards. This award It is given in memory of Bhupen Hazarika.
The event was organized by the Assam Sahitya Sabha and sponsored by the Numaligarh Refinery. Khoo is a well-known Singapore film director and Khoo is credited with reviving the Singapore film industry. He is the first film director from Singapore to attend the Cannes Film Festival as a jury at the 70th Film Festival. This segment showcases short films and children’s films.
Let me tell you that the film Me Poke Man and 12 Story was shown at the 60th Film Festival held in Venice, Berlin. Khoo has received several awards so far, including the National Council Young Artist Award and the Singapore Youth Award.
