Guwahati:Eminent scientist and alumnus of Dhubri Shishu Pathshala Higher Secondary School, Dr. Sanat Kumar Saha was honored by Minister Keshav Mahant in a ceremony organized by the district administration on 15 August.Dr. Saha passed Higher Secondary Examination from Science Branch in 1970, from Higher Secondary School, Shishu School, Dhubri, in his native place. He passed MSC in Agriculture-Biochemistry from Allahabad University in the 1980s and passed second class to attain second position. He also received his PhD in Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resource Management.In 1982, he was awarded a fellowship by the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) for ground research, after which he joined the fertilizer company of the Government of India. Dr. Saha went to Alabama, USA to participate in research work at the United Nations Development Program (UNDP). He also published 37 research papers nationally and internationally.

Dr. Saha appealed to the future Karnadhars of the nation to try to achieve the goal in whatever field they choose, non-stop with morality, without tireless labor, dedication and strong intention. The one who tries is successful. Dr. Shaha is currently working as an eminent scientist in the Higher Education Department of West Bengal.
