Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff may have just defeated Iron Man, Captain America and other Avengers yesterday. The two actors united for the first time on the big screen for War and their battle impressed India like never before this year. The Siddharth Anand directorial, which opened to overall good reviews, recorded a bumper opening. Box Office India revealed War collected a whopping Rs 51.50 crore on its opening day in Hindi alone. The collection has already broken the record of the highest opening day collection of all-time, which was previously held by Thugs of Hindostan.
Now, trade analyst Taran Adarsh has revealed that War has collected an overall collection of 53.35 crore on its first day. Let us remind you that War was released in several other languages, apart from Hindi. Given the collection, War has managed to beat Avengers: Endgame’s box office collection by a close margin. The Marvel Studios movie, released in April this year, collected Rs 53.10 crore on its opening day. War beat the Avengers with a margin of Rs 24 lakhs.
Apart from these records, War has also become Hrithik Roshan’s biggest opener and Tiger Shroff’s biggest opener. Hrithik’s previous record was of Rs 27.54 crore with Bang Bang. Tiger’s previous record was courtesy Baaghi 2 with an opening day collection of Rs 25.10 crore.
