Surat: A case of cheating of one crore has come to light with the Looms factory owner. The couple fled after taking the goods in credit. Mahesh Kumar Patel, living in Althan, runs a looms factory in Pandesara. In 2018, the accused living in Adajan borrowed goods worth Rs 1 crore 6 lakh from the complainant at different times. The accused did not pay on time and closed the shop and fled.
Mahesh Kumar Patel has a looms factory at Jalaram Industrial in Pandesara. Accused Gemini Bekawala and her husband Aneesh Kumar Bekawala borrowed goods worth 1 crore through broker Rajesh Gajjar. When Mahesh Kumar asked for payment from the accused, he gave a check of 22 lakh which was returned after depositing it in the bank.
After this, Mahesh called the accused, but the phone was off. When the accused went home, the accused had escaped. When Mahesh talked to the broker about the payment, he too absconded. Mahesh Bhai said that the accused have cheated not only from him but also about 15 crore from traders including Udhana, Salabatpura and Qatargam.
