Gandhinagar: Gujarati artists joining ruling BJP during the ongoing membership drive, more than 15 such artists including those from film, folk and singing areas today joined the party here.Gujarat BJP president welcomed them all in the party during an event organized at Shri Kamalam, the state headquarter of the party at Koba.
Among those joining BJP were film maker Rajesh Thakkar, son of noted singer Hemubhai Gadhvi, Bihari H Gadhvi, folk singer Dhanraj Gadhvi, folk literature Gopal Barot, Anudan Gadhvi, Batuk Thakor, Kiritdan Gadhvi, Shashi Parekh folk singer Sangeetaben Labadiya, Brijraj Labadiya, Himanshu Chauhan, Bankim Pathak and Arif Mir among others.
Notably, earlier many well known singers including Kinjal Dave and over 40 doctors and other artists had also joined the party.The artists joining BJP said that they were doing so by getting influenced with the performance of PM Narendra Modi and party president Amit Shah.
