New Delhi: While showing awareness about the safety and facilities of women passengers, Indian Railways has also started the facility of ‘Pink Coach’ reserved for women on the lines of Metro. In this coach marked with pink, women can travel alone or with their young children.

Railway Minister Piyush Goyal said on Saturday that for the safety and convenience of women, the Railways has started the work of marking the coach with pink color, so that women do not have to face congestion and inconvenience. This pink coach is making the journey of women more safe and convenient. This sign is easily recognized even from a distance.Now whether it is crowded or hurried women and Divyang will easily recognize this coach. This pink coach has been started by the Northeast Frontier Railway. The SLR coaches of several trains going from Bongaigaon to Guwahati have been painted pink.

In addition, this facility has also been identified in trains going from Rangiya to Murkongselek. The initiative of Pink Coach by Indian Railways has been done keeping in mind that women traveling daily do not have to deal with the crowds gathered at the Bhagam Bhag and the station and do not face any inconvenience.
